New waterfront condos coming to Belleville

The City of Belleville is in for a brand new waterfront condominium.

Four hundred new condo units should be up for sale at the former Morch Marine property at 25 Dundas Street West within a year, says an Intelligencer report.

Markham-based property development and construction company East Marina Investment Ltd. has owned the property since last May. Company president Jim Greig says renovation of the current buildings will begin in the near future, once required permits are granted.

Greig says the plan is to incorporate the restaurant and health club already on the premises into the new condominiums.

Belleville Mayor Neil Ellis says approval for the project should be complete in September.
