The waves were high in gusting winds yesterday on the Bay of Quinte.
And, a boat belonging to a family from Oakville was swamped in the bay near the Herchimer boat launch around 6 o clock last night.
Luckily, a passing boater pulled the 4 people out of the water.
Unluckily, they lost their boat and possessions to the bottom of the bay.
Meanwhile, Belleville police report a fairly quiet night overnight.
However, yesterday afternoon, city police laid an assault charge against a 50 year old Belleville woman.
A man had walked into the police station complaining of being beaten up by his wife.
