Section of Hwy 7 closed after fatal crash

One person has died and two others are in hospital after a crash that has kept a section of Highway 7 closed all afternoon.

An O-P-P report says a Ford Escape collided with a Motorcycle on Highway 7 west of Tippen Road, near Marmora at 11:40 this morning.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene while two others were taken to Campbellford Memorial Hospital.

The severity of injuries to the survivors is unknown.

Highway 7 remains closed and will be for the next few hours.

Motorists in the area are asked to follow the detours that are in place.
