Power use skyrockets

Not surprisingly, Tuesday’s record high temperatures had air conditioners working overtime.

An Intelligencer report says that as of 3 in the afternoon Tuesday, residents were using just over 110 kilowatts of power, the highest daily usage since 2003.

Statistics aren’t available for before 2003, so it’s not known if that power usage in Belleville Tuesday was an all time record..or not.
