Low Water Warning upgraded to Level 2

Posted 9 months ago

Mon, Jul 30th, '12 - 3:13 pm

The Quinte Region’s low water condition has been upgraded to Level two from Level one, until further notice.

Quinte Conservation Water Resources Engineer Bryon Keene says despite the recent dump of rain, water levels are continuing to get lower across the region.

Residents across the Quinte Region are being asked to cut their water-usage by 20% and those who take their water from from wells, should be aware that you could see a sharp decline in your water supply.

Quinte Conservation is asking any homes or businesses who experience unusual problems due to low water levels to let them know.

It would be helpful if you provided a link that explained the what the Low Water Warning levels mean. Is Level 2 worse than level 1?

  2. M.A. says:

It would also be helpful if people stop wasting it by watering their lawns everyday!!!
