Industrial land sale in Quinte West

A “major” company will be able to build a new facility in Quinte West’s industrial park… after council agreed to the sale of 25 acres of land there last night.

Council is bound by a confidentiality agreement… but Mayor John Williams did say the plan is for the company to build 520-thousand square foot facility.

Williams expects an application for a building permit to be submitted in the next week or so… with construction set to start as soon as it’s approved.

The City of Quinte West will make 300-thousand dollars on the sale.. and Williams says if everything goes smoothly… they could be up and running by next fall.
