Forest fires continue near Bancroft

Of the 5 forest fires currently burning in the Bancroft area, only one of them is considered out of control.

The Bancroft 32 blaze to the east of Bon Echo Park in North Frontenac began yesterday  and continues to burn.

The provincial Ministry of Natural Resources says there have been 32 forest fires in the Bancroft coverage area to date this year.

There are 4.5 hectares currently burning, with 68.1 hectares scorched to date so far.
