East Ontario beats provincial average

As usual, the unemployment rate in this part of Ontario was lower than then the provincial average.

For eastern Ontario, including Hastings and Prince Edward Counties, the unemployment rate was 6.9 percent last month, down from 7.7 percent a year ago.

Across Ontario, the rate last month was 7.7 percent.
