Tense in Napanee

Quite a scene in Napanee overnight. The OPP’s emergency response and tactical units responded to a house on Newburg Road at 10:30 last night.

A family member had called police with concerns that a distraught man was going to harm himself.

It was suspected the man might be armed.

OPP surrounded the house, and eventually made contact with the man, who was escorted safely from the house at 3 this morning.

There were no injuries.
