Shire Hall repairs water damage

It’s not quite business-as-usual at Shire Hall in Picton.

That’s because a minor leak on the second-floor caused major damage to three stories of the administrative building overnight.

Acting CAO, Robert McAuley, says the damage caused a significant disruption of service while they tried to clean up.

McAuley says the complete fix will take about 12 weeks and will be paid for with insurance money.

Visitors are asked to use the side entrance at the south of the building while repairs are made.
