Rowing club coming

Quinte West council is supporting the idea of a rowing and paddling club in the city.

Last night, council asked for a by law that would allow facilities for a rowing club to operate at Kiwanis Park, along the Trent River, near Ontario Street.

Kiwanis member and club president, Jeff Lay, said the location was perfect for the Trenton Rowing and Paddling Club.

Lay is an Olympic rowing champion, and is now a local chartered accountant
