Picton projects ready

Two major infrastructure projects are ready to move ahead in Picton this summer after Prince Edward County Council approved the contracts.

Prince Edward County is replacing the Picton Heights water boosting pumping station servicing the McCauley subdivision.

Project manager Joe Angelo, says the one-point-six million dollar project includes new pumps, new building and new generator. He says it should be completed by next February.

The second project, a one-point-one million dollar road reconstruction of Washburn Street, will be completed by the end of this year.
