Loyalist College invests in newsroom

An integrated newsroom is one of two major capital expenditures for Loyalist College in the upcoming year.

The multi-media newsroom will accommodate students of the college’s journalism programme; starting in May, it will be used by students from Trent University.

The college yesterday announced it’s developed a joint offering with the Peterborough university so students can choose to earn both a degree and a diploma within four years.

The cost of the new media facility is expected to be $1,350,000.

The other big expenditure will be a new Welcome Centre in the college front lobby.
