Drug busts in County

Searches continue by the OPP at locations in Prince Edward County after drug raids early this morning.

5 locations were raided by OPP units, along with the Belleville police and Project Longarm officers.

Constable Kim Guthrie of the Prince Edward OPP says 6 people are in custody, and that an unknown quantity of illegal drugs were seized.

There’s been no mention of weapons.

It’s not known if all of the people arrested were local, or not.

3 of the raids took place in Picton, one in South Marysburg ward, and the other in Sophiasburg.
