Brighton cenotaph tops construction stats

The municipality of Brighton has fewer houses going up so far this year than last.

The number of dwelling units issued permits as of May this year was 24 as compared to 30 at this time last year.

That decrease is in contrast to the fact that more construction permits – including for houses, decks or demolitions - have been issued this year (76) than last year (64).

One institutional permit of $85,000 was issued for the cenotaph at Memorial Park on Main St.
