Youth awards highlight achievements

It was a night full of song and dance and smiles all around at the Empire Theatre in Belleville.

The Quinte Children’s Foundation last night hosted – with its partner groups – a celebration of youth achievement.

Officials say 60 young people from Children’s Aid and Mohawk Territory were granted $50 awards for achievements in academics and other categories.

Another 30 teenagers with plans to attend college or university were awarded over $50,000 in Reach for Success bursaries.
