Wellington Arena cost less than expected

The final numbers are in on the construction of the impressive new Wellington and District Community Centre.
The cost to build the arena was just over $11.8 million, which was $71,000 under budget.
$7.7 million of that came from senior government infrastructure funding and another $1.4 million was raised in the community.
All that for a Hockey Arena. That cannot even cover it’s own Cost to operate.
No wonder PEC taxes are so out of line. Tax payers should not be inpressed.
Big deal $71,000 under budget on an Arena that was over priced to begin with.
Big deal ,it still was a cost the taxpayers can’t afford .If I ran my household the way they run the county I’d be bankrupt in no time !
