Warkworth cyclist seriously injured

A young Warkworth man is in hospital with injuries from a bike accident in Campbellford.

Police attended the scene of a crash between a bicycle and a vehicle at the intersection of Bridge and Front Streets around suppertime Saturday.

20-year-old Troy Smith was seriously injured and airlifted to hospital in Toronto when his bike struck the side of an oncoming vehicle.

Police say the intersection was closed for several hours for their investigation and no charges have been laid.
