Trent-Severn Waterway is important: Devolin

The reopening of the Trent Severn Waterway for the season comes with a warning.

Lindsay-based M-P, Barry Devolin, says his Conservatives today welcome visitors to the waterway… and adds the government recognizes the waterway’s importance to the communities it touches.

Devolin says the government will give communities enough time to make adjustments before new restrictions on the season are introduced.

Parks Canada plans to reduce the duration of the season and hours of operation.. due to restrictions imposed by the 2012 federal budget.
