1:30PM UPDATE: The OPP are asking to hear from anyone who may have heard a low-flying plane late yesterday evening.
A Griffon helicopter and Hercules aircraft from 8 Wing Trenton’s search and rescue squadron is searching the skies in the Peterborough region today.
A male pilot and his small plane is missing on a flight from Montreal to Toronto. He was to have arrived at Buttonville airport around 10:00 last night.
There has been no signal from an emergency locator transmitter to guide the search.
low flying plane went over my property last night from the east going west south west really caught my attention as it sounded really low on its pass over town of campbellford
I would be interested in knowing the kind of plane it was and whether it was a twin or a single engine.
