“I did it for my brother”… those were the words of a police officer in Prince Edward County who has shaved her head.
On Monday, OPP Constable Kim Guthrie had her hair removed at Prince Edward Collegiate in an effort to raise money for cancer research.
Constable Guthrie says a woman shaving their head has alot more power than a man.
Donations can still be made at the Prince Edward County detachment.
There’s also a teen in Prince Edward County whose fighting the disease and Guthrie says she did it for her too.

Kudos to all those that support this new fundraiser! Great job Kim Guthrie!
While she may or may not appreciate my opinion, I believe Kim Guthrie is the finest example of what a police officer ‘should be’ that I have ever come across.
Her professionalism and dedication to the law is a model by which all police should be measured.
The actions which lead to this story only enhance the character of this fine woman, and fine officer.
Kudos Kim!
Brummell speaking highly of a cop? My jaw hit the floor.
