After nearly 7 hours evidence and testimony yesterday, Justice Lorraine Watson granted bail to an O-P-P officer facing a number of assault charges.
The officer… who cannot be named to protect the identity of the victim… posted 25-thousand dollars bail… and must stay under house arrest living with his parents.
He has a week to get an assessment for anger management and possible alcohol related issues, and must also follow a strict no-contact list, including the victim and their family.
The officer is also banned from handling a weapon.
Details of testimony at the bail hearing are protected under a publication ban.
He’ll be in court next in Picton on May 23rd.

I suspect this officer’s lawyer will follow the crown’s model in the (name removed) matter.
He spent ten days in QDC for breaking (name removed)’s arm, and got parole.
Parole is for people who have served federal time. Perhaps you mean probation?
Not publishing the officer’ s name to protect HIS identity! Now he is on paid vaction with all benefits for the next 3 years, then a slap on the bum and told not to get caught again!
