More time for Belleville development

A Belleville councillor is concerned about giving a deverloper another draft plan extension on a proposed 214-unit east end subdivision.

Six years ago City Council gave Hanley Parks Development draft plan approval and last night they asked for another three year extension.

Councillor Garnet Thompson says residents of the area at the end of Bridge Street want to know what is happening. And he says this extension could hold up services for other developments.

City Council rejected Councillor Thompsons concerns and decided to give the company another three years to develop the plan.
