With the London Summer games less than 6 weeks away, the Canadian Mens-8 rowing team, coxed by Belleville’s Brian Price, is competing at the world rowing cup in Lucerne, Switzerland.
The Canadian boat finished first in their heat today to advance to Sunday’s final. Price says they didn’t just win, but set a new world record with 5:19.35 (prev. 5:19.85 USA 2004).
Brian Price is just one of three returning members of Canada’s Mens-8 olympic gold medal winning team from the Beijing Olympics.
