The widow of Jeff Vader is pleased with the sentence given to her husband’s killer.

Erick Menard was today sentenced in Picton Superior Court for dangerous driving causing the death of Jeff Vader in Cherry Valley in May 2009.

Debbie Vader says she hopes the sentencing ends her three-year ordeal.

Menard was sentenced to two years in a federal penitentiary, three years of probation, five years’ driver’s licence suspension and ten years of a weapons prohibition.
