Former Belleville chief to be honoured

A former Belleville Police Chief will be receiving a major award in Ottawa tomorrow.
Kingston Police Chief Steve Tanner will get the Order of Merit from Governor General David Johnston tomorrow.
The Honour was created in 2000 to recogonize merit and exceptional service by police officers in Canada.
Tanner was Belleville’s Police Chief prior to Cory McMullen.
