Celebration of Dance in Belleville

The Cha Cha meets “The Hamster” at the 22nd annual Celebration of Dance in Belleville.

Students from across the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board will perform at the Belleville fairgrounds tomorrow starting at 11:30.

Spokesperson Kerry Donnell says a new method for rehearsing this year may improve what we see on stage. Students have used videos of themselves doing the dances to send to their co-performers in other schools.

Donnell says about five-thousand students from kindergarten through to high school will be in attendance and 12 different dances are in the line-up this year.
