Car recovered from Brighton boat launch

Police were called to a boat launch at the end of Baldwin St. in Brighton after a man launched his car into Lake Ontario.

The driver got out of the submerged vehicle and fled on foot to a nearby house.

Brighton OPP charged 40-year-old Paul Quick of Brighton with impaired driving.

Quick’s license was suspended for 90 days and his car was impounded for seven.
