Campbell Street plans on display

Belleville residents will get an advance peek, and a chance to comment on,  the proposed redesign  of Campbell St. in the downtown.

The proposed $750,000 facelift for Campbell St. will be on public display Friday afternoon.

Deputy Director of Engineering Ray Ford says there needs to be some watermain and road work to widen the sidewalks. Ford says the street will be more pedestrian-friendly, with new lighting and benches.

Ford says there will be improved parking behind the library and improved signage to the two large parking lots nearby.  The public information session begins at 3:30 Friday afternoon at the public library.
