Belleville building solid in April

Belleville had a solid month of building activity, if a lot less than last April.

The city’s Engineering & Development Services Department shows a decrease in development this April over last.

The total value of construction in April was $4,896,155, more than $2 million less than last year.

Part of the reason is a big drop in commercial building activity but an increase in private homes being built.
