Beer Store fights leukemia

If you’re going to the beer store in the Quinte region this weekend you could help raise money to fight leukemia.

It is the ”bottle drive” sponsored by the United Food and Commercial workers and the Beer Store this weekend to help find a cure for leukemia. National Director of the Leukemia Society of Canada, Lorna Warwick, says the money goes directly to patient support.

Warwick says the Society also funds a $120,000 research grant each year.
