Accident in East-end Belleville

11:00 AM UPDATE: Fire officials have confirmed two motorcycles were involved and one rider… a woman… had to be taken to Belleville General Hospital.
Her injuries are said to be non-life threatening.
There was a minor fuel spill due to the crash… but emergency crews have since cleaned everything up.
The cause of the crash is still being determined.
Emergency officials have confirmed an accident in East-end Belleville this morning.
It happened around 10am near Dundas East and Haig Road… and details are limited.
Belleville Police say there may have been a couple of motorcycles involved… but nothing has been confirmed.
AGAIN with the sexist reporting! If the victim had’ve been male you would have NEVER made a point to mention his sex. BAD! BAD reporting!!
In fact, you went out of your way to make sure that you pointed out it was a woman. “two motorcycles were involved and one rider… a woman… had to be taken..” You couldn’t leave it at ‘one rider’ until the victim’s name was released? This is 2012, not 1930.
