A decison on just where the “Hockeyville” NHL exhibition game will be played is expected over the next week or so.
Stirling-Rawdon was named Kraft Hockeyville, won the 100-thousand dollars, and the exhibition NHL game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Recenty officials from the NHL, Players Association, CBC, and Kraft toured Stirling-Rawdon arena and the Yardmen in Belleville. Recreation Director Mark Fluhrer says they gave no on-the-spot decision.
The Yardmen arena is Olympic size and seats three-thousand, compared to five-hundred in Stirling-Rawdon arena.
Fluhrer says if it is the Yardmen a deal would have to be worked out with the Belleville Bulls and other partners about the Oct 3rd date.
