Warkworth Insitution on lock down

For the second time this week… an area correctional facility has been locked down.

Much like the lock down at Joyceville on Tuesday… prisoners at Warkworth Institution are now confined to their cells as staff conduct a thorough search of the facility.

The medium-security prison was locked down around 7:00 yesterday morning after staff received a tip there may be weapons inside.

All regular programs and visits have been suspended until the search completed… and staff deem the prison safe again.
