Too much partying in Picton

Prince Edward County OPP officers were kept busy early Saturday morning dealing with drunken rowdies in Picton.
There were two separate incidents, fighting outside of a Main Street bar, and fighting outside of a house party on Lake Street.
One young man was arrested in the bar incident, and an Alcohol Gaming Commission official was there, and will investigate further.
And, later, those causing the problems at the house party had left before the OPP arrived.

Unfortunately, the young man arrested inside the bar was distraught over the anniversary of the death of his cousin. He was not intoxicated. It was a busy night at “Turn ‘R’ Up” but there were no other problems. You might ask me, How I know? I was there, that’s how. But thank you so much for getting the story correct! You did a great job!
I was there too, playing with the band. There was a scuffle earlier by the jukebox that resulted in a guy getting tossed. And as for the gentlemen who was arrested later that was distraught? He had a few, became agitated with a few other gentlemen who, he felt were staring at him. He was asked to finish his beer and leave, as the bar was closing, he didn’t want to leave, the police were already there. The staff came back to ask him once again to leave, the police also asked him at least three times to leave, or he would be going to the station for the night, he refused, when they attempted to escort him out, he resisted, his woman, and a couple of other people got involved trying to hinder the police. I don’t know, I guess I came from a time when a cop asked you to leave an establishment, you left.
