Thief shouldn’t have paused to fight

This thief picked the wrong guy to steal a car from. Belleville Police say someone stole a car that was idling in front of a house on Church Street yesterday.
The thief drove the car away while the owner was running after it on foot.
The vehicle pulled over, and the owner and suspect did some wrestling.
Police arrived and arrested a man.
35 year old Stephen Thorne faces charges.
I am getting really sick and tired of the theft that is happening in this city it’s disgusting and people should really be getting stiffer penalties because there is still so much of it is still going on.
I think it’s time for Thorne to quit drinking! Not only is he a danger to himself but certainly others as well after this”one”. He just keeps at it but hopefully the police take care of him this time.
