“Suspicious package” no problem: Police

It’s a case of better safe than sorry after police investigated a suspicious package in Belleville yesterday.

Police were told of a powdery substance on a package at the Federal Building on Station Street just before 10 A-M… and the buidling was evacuated with the help of fire crews.

The O-P-P Ubran Search and Rescue and Checmical Response team was deployed and determined the substance was non-toxic… and it’s origins were non-criminal.
