Smoke alarm charges

The campaign to have all homes and businesses contain working smoke alarms continues in Belleville.

The Belleville Fire Department laid a total of 5 charges against 3 homeowners on the weekend for not having working smoke alarms.

The fire department stresses that smoke alarms are mandatory in Ontario.
