Quinte Healthcare votes on budget

Quinte Health Care has passed this years operations budget.

Total expenses came in just over 194-million dollars.

Just days before the vote, QHC found out it would be receiving a one percent cut in funding from the government for it’s services.

QHC CEO Mary Clare Egberts says staff did a terrific job figuring out a plan to balance the books.

Egberts says it’s tough to keep the numbers in the black when you’re dealing with a six million dollar increase in benefits and salaries.
