A 40-year-old Prince Edward County man faces multiple charges after a major drug bust.
OPP say they executed a search warrant on Friday at a Main St. apartment in Picton and seized 40 kgs of an hallucinogenic drug similar to “acid”, called DMT.
As well as the arrest in Picton, officers seized packages imported from Brazil earlier this month at Pearson International Airport in Toronto with a street value of nearly $69,000.
Derek Richardson is charged.

WOAHHH dmt is picton HAHA crazyy
Why is it that this story was covered better in more detail on the Belleville Intelligencer webisite than the so called most authoritative news boradcaster of Quinte
Lol this “news” has it wrong, they didnt get DMT. They got the roots dmt can be extracted from, a root which isnt even illegal. Leave it to the rcmp to make it sound like they made some great bust when its really kind of a joke. Guy will likely beat the charges in court.
I would also love to know where the cops manage to pull the dollar values from, my guess is they just make it up, or multiple the real number by some random number. How ever they do there dollar value is way far of base.
