Move Over: It’s the Law!

Centre Hastings motorists are being reminded to “Move Over” and “Leave a Lane” because “It’s the Law!”

The OPP have issued a reminder stating that emergency vehicles are entitled to use of the roadway and if a driver doesn’t slow down and leave at least a lane of distance between their vehicle and the parked emergency vehicle with its lights flashing at the side of the road, a fine can be issued.

Fines for the violation are $400 – $2000.
