The Quinte region’s six record-setting hot days in March were part of an exceptional month.
Environment Canada has released its monthly weather review and says it was the warmest March on record in many places.
The government weather agency says it was due to a stationary, abnormally strong high-pressure area sprawling across eastern Canada with temperatures so high that 250 records were broken in Ontario alone.
And while places like Quinte saw far less rain or snow than usual northern Ontario was much wetter than normal.
