Man injured in Belleville fire

A man was burned and taken to Belleville hospital yesterday morning after another apartment fire in the city.

Fire Prevention Officer, Lyle Quennell, says firefighters responded at around 7:30 yesterday morning to an apartment at 485 Bridge St. E.

The building is a three-storey Hastings County Housing facility.

The cause is under investigation by the Belleville Fire Department and the Ontario Fire Marshall.

On Saturday morning, there was an apartment fire on Turnbull St.  There were no injuries.

Careless smoking was the cause of that fire.
