House fire north of Tweed

We have more detail on the house fire north of Tweed overnight.

The fire, on highway 7, near Queensborough Road, was NOT at Vogel’s Taxidermy, but was across the highway from it.

The newly renovated frame house went up in flames around 1 this morning.

A neighbor said he woke up to the sounds of an explosion.

The family who lived in the house was not home at the time.

No one was injured. The house was destroyed.

The Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating.
