Posted 1 year ago

Wed, Apr 18th, '12 - 10:26 am

A family is homeless just south of Bancroft after a house fire overnight.

Firefighters from Faraday Township and Bancroft responded at 1:00 this morning to 2184 Bay Lake Rd.

The family escaped the house without injury.

Bancroft fire chief Pat Hoover says the wood frame house was gutted and over $100,000 damage was caused.

The cause is under investigation, but is not considered suspicious.

The family was awakened by smoke alarms.
