The Lower Trent Conservation Authority has announced some awards to local students.
Students from schools around the region were challenged to present their ideas for improving their environments.
The top prize winners, a trio from Brighton Public School, were last night given a thousand dollars for proposing to put recycling bins alongside municipal waste bins in Brighton.
Other cash winners came from St. Mary’s, Campbellford High and Percy Centennial.
