Belleville’s solar dollars adding up

Posted 1 year ago

Mon, Apr 30th, '12 - 10:44 am

The Belleville solar panel project is now bringing revenue in the city’s bank account.

The panels on the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre and the transit building have generated $40,000 in their first month.

Belleville Mayor Neil Ellis says they would like to continue investing in renewable energy on city-owned buildings.

Council invested the $3.1 million through the Feed In Tariffs Program. The project didn’t affect taxes.
