A Napanee man has been arrested following a police pursuit on the 4-0-1 yesterday.
Provincial Police conducting radar clocked a white Pontiac sunfire speeding in the eastbound lanes around 11pm… and found the car had been reported stolen from Napanee.
Officers tried to stop the vehicle as it exited the highway in Quinte West… but the vehicle collided with a cruiser and continued.
The pursuit eventually ended when the suspect hit a dead and road and fled on foot.
20-year old Adam Palmer was arrested and taken to the O-P-P’s Northumberland detachment where he awaits a bail hearing.
The charges include dangerous driving, flight from police, vehicle theft, possession of stolen property and breach of probation.
There were no injuries.
