OPP breakthrough leads to arrests

Northumberland OPP have had a breakthrough in a case involving thefts on two farms in the Port Britain area near Port Hope.

OPP followed a lead that lead to the arrests of two males in connection to these thefts.

20 year old Peter Sherman and 19 year old Cody Foster were arrested and face numerous charges including theft under $5000 and Break and enter with intent to commit indictable offence.

Both men were involved in thefts of two farms where a number of tools and scrap metal was stolen from the barns of both farm owners.
