Kramp applauds money for beef

A local member of parliament is hailing an injection of money for the cattle industry.

MP Daryl Kramp says 2012 has been a year of achievements for the beef sector.

Agriculture minister Gerry Ritz announced today an injection of  $3 million to the cattle industry.

Kramp says this is in addition to a previous invsestment of more than five-million dollars announced last year.

The new money is to help the Beef InfoXchange System improve its electronic communications.
